Extra Curricular
NRHS recognise the importance of children and young people understanding that they are responsible for their own behaviour and that accountability begins with having a choice. Making choice is an explicit part of our school offer empowers children and young people to value their choices and gives them a sense of self-advocacy, which is essential for good mental health. This weekly session gives Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils an opportunity to practice the skill of making choices that both benefit them and expand their experiences in a relaxed and enjoyable way.
So far, these activities have included:
- Boxing

We also have ‘Girls Time’ – a female only space run by the school counsellor where Key Stage 4 girls can enjoy time together engaging in activities specific to their interests. This is led by the school counsellor and supported by other female staff.
